Hi friends,
Okay… this weekend is callbacks. 😭🎬
Which means somewhere right now actors are running scenes, memorizing lines, and getting ready to step into the world of The Way Back Home for the first time.
It feels kind of surreal.
A few months ago this project was still living in notebooks, classroom conversations, and “what if we actually did this?” energy. Now we’re crewing up, having daily production meetings, and watching this thing slowly become a real film.
One of the best parts so far has been watching our cohort apprentices step into the filmmaking process in real time.
One of our Story Makers has been spearheading parts of the casting process and absolutely fell in love with it. Watching actors interpret scenes, understanding how emotion shifts from actor to actor… somewhere along the way she realized, “Wait… I think this might actually be what I want to do professionally.”
Another has been learning how to break down scripts inside the AD department and seeing how words on a page eventually become an actual shoot day.
That’s exactly the kind of access we hoped this program could create.
If you’re in Atlanta, we’d love for you to come hear more about the project in person at our next Becoming Love Project mixer next Thursday at Kitchen Masters in Suwanee from 6PM until the sun comes up. 😭✨ Some of our cohort apprentices may be there as well, and honestly, the room is already feeling kind of magical.
We’ll have giveaways, raffles, music, good energy, and a lot of conversation about where this project is headed next.

And finally, we have 30 days left to raise the funds needed to bring this film to life.
Films like this only happen when community decides they matter. So if you believe in what we’re building, we would genuinely love your support.

Something special is happening over here and we’re really grateful you’re here while it unfolds.
