Hi friends! I’ve missed you! I’m here to tell you I’m alive and well:) It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared here, or anywhere, for that matter. Last July I felt a Holy Spirit nudge to step away from social media...for a YEAR! This was on the heels of Brian’s heart attack, some personal health issues and just a plain old fashioned case of burnout.
There are things I miss terribly. You, primarily. It’s a bit lonely, and at times, I struggle with feeling forgotten. I miss sharing. I also worry a bit about my return. Will anyone still be there? That algorithm is tricky… But regardless of the nagging fears, here’s what I know for certain, God is good. He called me to this season for a reason and I’m here for it. What’s next is still to be determined (even though I have an idea;).
So in other news, I’m really excited to share that my sweet friend Laura, from Art and Faith Creative, has invited me to teach at another one of her amazing retreats!! For the past few years she’s put together a soul-filling retreat in the Northeast. Is there anything better than the Northeast in the FALL??!! This year we'll be heading to Vermont and Maine October 9-17th!!
Join me this October, as we step away from the everyday and are refreshed in this peaceful, creative space where art and faith come together. We’ll enjoy a week of inspiration, reflection, and artistic expression amidst the stunning beauty of Autumn in New England.
We’ll begin our time in Woodstock, Vermont, on a stunning 500-acre farm that you’ll be dreaming about long after you leave. The beauty of this property is truly unforgettable. Afterward, we’ll head to Portland, Maine, where we’ll immerse ourselves in the splendor of the changing seasons in this New England coastal town, with its picturesque streets, fresh sea air, and small town charm.
Whether you’re a painter, art journaler, or simply seeking a space to reconnect with your creativity and meet other faith-filled women, this retreat is for YOU.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching with Laura in Bellagio, Italy twice. The experience was so incredibly special. She has a gift of curating a trip that is not only beautiful, but it centers around the Lord. She writes a faith-filled devotional that we read together every morning and the rest of the day is all the good things that truly refresh your mind, body and spirit. Pottery? YES! Painting and journaling? YES! Making new friends, eating amazing food, seeing beauty everywhere? YES!!!!! Is there anything more fun? And bonus, we get to make ART!!! And it’s not complicated fussy art. It’s relaxing, at your own level - fun art. We will invite you to sit still and see the world around you. To notice His fingerprints in the every day ordinary. I can’t wait for October:)
Registration is open friends. Come with us! And if the Italy retreat caught your attention I think she still has a few spots open there as well. You won’t regret it. This is memory making / life changing stuff. It’s intentionality, self-care, and so much more…
Miss you mucho!!
Becky
