You all know that we rarely interview people, right? Not only is it a logistical thing: limited brain power and shitty-internet , but, also, I’m a terrible interviewer.
RAW Impressions 153
Maybe it’s years of being an interview subject while my bands drifted in and out of a spotlight. Maybe it’s because I’m too self-involved. Maybe I’m self-involved because I got interviewed one too many times. I’m also a bad interviewer because I get too excited when I talk to strangers. I spin incomplete sentences and laugh and breathe too much.
LISTEN:
Adelle brilliantly suggested we interview Lizz Winstead. The edge-lords had descended on Minnesota. I knew we couldn’t carry on without addressing the situation. We love Lizz Winstead! She’ll be cool (she was)! So we set up a talk using cutting edge conference call technology! It worked, more or less!
I was meant to be a part of the discussion but troublesome technical details sidelined me. When spotty wifi let me into the conversation, I immediately went into a paranoid chant about white supremacists. It’s best to let the big people talk. It’s best to let the women take over. I mean it.
This episode ends with 4-Track Man musing on the broken patriarchy. Bless his analog heart.
