Well, Daylight Savings is officially here. Or is it over? Not sure, but I know that nothing puts me in a worse mood than losing an hour of sleep. On paper it’s one single hour, but to my body it feels like a whole lot more than that.
Until this very second, I believed the myth that DST was created for farmers, and I was fully prepared to give you my thoughts on that until I double checked my own knowledge. See my friends, that’s how misinformation spreads. I really thought we were out here exposing ourselves to an increase in heart attacks, car accidents, and stress responses all so some guys in a field could have an extra hour of light. If you thought that too, congrats, you’re also a victim of misinformation. I don’t even know that many farmers, but I know a lot of people upset by screwing with the clocks. As it turns out, farmers were actually against DST when they were kicking around the idea of implementing it. Something about how it would piss both them AND the animals off. I’ve said it all along, it’s time we get government out of clocks.
Some say DST was pitched by Ben Franklin as a way to use less candles. By the time it was put into place, it became a way to conserve energy and fuel during WW1. Add it to the long list of “Reasons to Hate War”.
Because of all this, I figured this week’s recipe should be something hella easy. Like zero-thinking, easy. I slept until 11am yesterday, I’m telling you… I’m a train wreck.
So allow me to introduce you to the caesar salad pizza wrap. Caesar wraps are everywhere right now, but I wanted to try a fresh take. It’s basically the result of hitting a pizza joint and wrapping all your favorite menu items into one bite. Do I want pizza? Do I want a caesar salad? The answer is always yes.
Whether you’re feeding yourself or a house full, I’m confident this one will be a hit.
