Let me be clear when I say this: I had a ball with my friends new and old at Baby’s All Right in New York City this past weekend. Manny was grilling on the sidewalk all day long. Liam, John, Pauline, and Carlo did a Strokes cover set that packed out the room, and I genuinely think they need to consider touring this shit. Ale + friends covered Big Star and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Miles so happy to be at a show. Fishy + Eli went b2b 2000s v 90s. Lily + Anj relished in the surprise Tom Petty cover. I danced and smiled and laughed and I had fun. That’s all there is to it, really ! - Caroline

Austin (aka Tracey Nelson) was kind enough to send us a sneak peek of the forthcoming record, and gosh these tunes are nowhere shy of excellent. You know already that it was produced by MJ Lenderman and features performances from MJ, Karly Hartzman, Colin Miller, but all that is just sprinkles on top of a beautiful banana split of Austin’s own creation. His voice is warm and warbling, reminds me of waking up camping, and glistens with harmonica + slide guitar and other blissful and kind flourishes. I’m expecting him to go far ! Support from our de facto house band Oldstar (I’m quite fond of this one) and Badger Hunt. Naturally, it’s not a show to miss. - Caroline
