Happy Wednesday,
Oh man, I am behind again. It’s been a busy few weeks. My birthday came and we had a small celebration at a local Italian restaurant. Sadly, the service wasn’t great, but at least the food was good. Then it was Jackson’s birthday. He also chose Italian and this time we went to Olive Garden. The food wasn’t as good but the service was amazing.
This last weekend, Kayleigh performed in Alice in Wonderland. She did a great job. It was so fun watching her grow and do more facial expressions than she used to. I can’t wait until she gets a little older and starts getting solos because she has a beautiful voice. I’m hoping she’ll do the next play but she also wants to do basketball, which will conflict a bit.
Jackson’s basketball season ended last night with a nail-biter of a game. 29-28, but it was a nice win for their final game.
Today was supposed to be their Christmas concert at school, but a massive wind storm blew down a bunch of power lines last night and school was canceled. It was nice to get to sleep in, do some cleaning, and wrap some presents. Maybe I’ll even get a few words on the story tonight.
Friday starts our winter break and shortly after, we’re heading to Texas to see my family and celebrate Christmas with them, so it’s definitely going to be a busy few weeks, but a nice break from school.
