Happy Wednesday,
Wow, it’s been a busy few weeks. I thought when Cross Country ended that my life would slow down and I could back to working out, but that hasn’t happened. Speech and Debate is now in full swing and we’ve had a tournament the last two Saturdays. I love giving the kids the opportunity to shine, but finding judges is stressful and I’m always tired when we get done. That being said, the team is doing great. Six of the 15 members have already qualified for Regionals and four more are halfway there. We just did a pie fundraiser to help pay for our trip and it was very successful thanks to my assistant coach who did all the amazing leg work. We still have some work to do, but I have no doubt we’ll get there. We have a popcorn fundraiser planned for next month at the Alice in Wonderland play the younger kids are doing including my daughter, Kayleigh, who plays small Alice. I’m excited to see her.
And speaking of plays… Calvary Players, an acting group I belong to, is doing Cheaper by the Dozen in February and I got cast as Ms. Brill - a mean school teacher lol. I’m excited for it though and then in May, our school will be doing The Sound of Music which I am super excited for.
Tomorrow, I’m doing a Turkey Trot run with my son, though I’ll probably be walking most of it as my knee is still giving me problems and then after Thanksgiving dinner, I’ll be tagging a bunch of clothes to take to a local retail sale. Then I have some audio editing to do on Mandi Blake’s book that I just finished recording and hopefully, I’ll get some writing in.
