When Francesca Graziella asked if I would submit a “Dear Santa” letter—from either me or one of my characters—I knew immediately it would have to be Austin.

A few years ago, I had some NSFW artwork commissioned for both Meet Me in Los Feliz and Venice Actually, and then, much to my dismay, my go-to artist disappeared into the ether.
One of my goals for 2025 was to find the right artist—because there are hundreds to choose from—to bring Santa Monica Baby’s Austin and Nellie to life. And thankfully, I finally found him.

It might still be a work in progress—stay tuned for the finished product—but I think we can all agree that with or without color, this is a goddamn masterpiece.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering… this is based on a scene in the book’s epilogue.
There is something deeply magical about seeing a character you’ve lived with in your head suddenly exist on the page in a new way.
Especially a wonderfully fat character… or three.
