Stop Looking Rich. Start Living Rich.

For a long time, I thought luxury was something you bought.

A designer bag.

A first class flight.

A five star hotel.

A beautiful home.

And don’t get me wrong...

I love beautiful things.

I love fashion.

I love travel.

I love walking into a space that inspires me.

But the older I get, the more I’ve realized something.

Luxury isn’t something you wear.

It’s something you build.

Real luxury is waking up without anxiety.

It’s opening your banking app without fear.

It’s having the freedom to leave a relationship that no longer serves you.

It’s being healthy enough to enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to create.

It’s having friendships that pour into you instead of drain you.

It’s having time.

Because time is the one thing money can never buy back.

This week I found myself having conversations with women in completely different seasons of life.

One was navigating financial stress inside her relationship.

Another had built what most people would call a wildly successful career, yet she admitted she’s in a season of rebuilding.

It reminded me that appearances tell us almost nothing.

The internet has convinced us that wealth has a look.

I don’t think it does.

I’ve met women with designer closets who couldn’t sleep at night.

I’ve met women with modest apartments who carried a peace money could never purchase.

The difference wasn’t what they owned.

It was how they lived.

That’s why I’ve stopped chasing the appearance of success.

I’m chasing alignment.

I want my spending to reflect my values.

I want my calendar to reflect my priorities.

I want my relationships to reflect my standards.

I want my health to reflect my gratitude.

I want my bank account to reflect my discipline.

Because lifestyle maxing isn’t about looking expensive.

It’s about building a life that feels abundant.

I’ve started asking myself a different question before I buy almost anything.

Not...

“Can I afford it?”

But...

“Does this move me closer to the woman I’m becoming?”

Sometimes the answer is yes.

Sometimes it’s investing in a mentor.

Sometimes it’s booking the flight.

Sometimes it’s buying the book instead of another outfit.

Sometimes it’s saying no altogether.

Intentional living isn’t about spending less.

It’s about spending on purpose.

I’ve learned that every dollar is a vote.

Every hour is a vote.

Every habit is a vote.

Every decision is casting a ballot for the woman you’ll become six months from now.

That’s why I care so much about financial literacy.

Not because I think money is everything.

Because I think freedom is.

I never want a woman to stay in a relationship because she can’t afford to leave.

I never want a woman to shrink her dreams because she never learned how money works.

I never want a woman to confuse being taken care of with giving away her independence.

Know your money.

Know your options.

Know your worth.

Not because you expect to do life alone.

But because confidence grows when competence does.

The older I get, the less interested I am in impressing people.

I’m much more interested in impressing my future self.

The woman who’s watching every decision I make today.

The woman who’s waiting on me to stop buying the image...

...and start building the life.
