I’m privileged to share the rising sun this morning from our friends’ mountain aerie at AhhhRasNatango Gallery and Gardens overlooking Montego Bay.

Happiest day, beloved Joy Train Rider! I love you! Bless you! I affirm we are doing well.

In view of what is taking place in our National Parks I fled to the highest place on Earth today. While I was on Mount Everest in the Himalayas, I read about a Sherpa who was injured crawling alone down the mountain, getting buried by an avalanche, which provided him the stepping stones to crawl up out of the crevasse and continue crawling down the mountain until he was rescued.

What an incredible story! We’re used to hearing the ordeals of people CLIMBING UP the mountain, but CRAWLING DOWN feels completely antithetical.

I latched on to the message of hope with much gratitude as I shrink from what I see as the desecration of our National Parks in the US. I have to go all the way to Mount Everest to refresh my spirit, and the mountain greets me with this great welcome through MY NEWS FEED! How incredibly mundane yet highly spiritual!

So here we are on Mount Everest, elevation 29,031.7 feet above sea level feeling like we’r just this close to touching the sky. I perceive “Shambhala, the legendary spiritual kingdom in Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu traditions,” shimmering in the ether.

“Deeply embedded in Himalayan lore Shambhala is described as ‘a hidden, utopian paradise of enlightenment, peace, and advanced wisdom. Its exact geographic location remains a mystery, as it is often believed to exist in a spiritual or parallel dimension.

“Many spiritual practitioners interpret Shambhala as an inward state of enlightenment rather than a physical location on a map . . “

I didn’t know until today that the belief system includes a prophecy that “a future enlightened king will emerge from Shambhala to defeat dark forces and usher in a worldwide golden age. “

I feel ready for that. Oh for ANY enlightenment!

This morning I had the thought, “What if all that the Christ demonstrated, comes down to just one thing that we’re missing - the memory of where we came from, and that we are literal sons and daughters of God, with the same qualities?”

I recall how Jesus the Christ showed no awareness of limitation, feeding the multitude; healing the sick; raising the dead, calming the storm, and repulsing death. Reportedly He said, paraphrased, “These things I do, you can do also. “

In all the miracles He seems to be telling us, “You’ve forgotten your true identity. What I Am is who you are.”

I’m not trying to proselytize. I share what I’m learning in case it sparks someone else’s interest. We have to break out of our programming and expand our vision if we are to transcend our current situation.

So here we are in SAGARMATHA NATIONAL PARK, high in the Himalayas of Nepal, the first place in Nepal to receive the UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.
