I am back after taking a week off! I spent that time hosting my sister and her crew while they got new flooring installed, which basically meant my house was loud, chaotic, and overflowing with cousins in the very best way. They even cried when it was time to say goodbye… which is hilarious considering they live four houses down. They literally just had to walk home, and we saw them again the very next morning. What can I say? We’re a very attached‑at‑the‑hip kind of family.
And honestly, I’m so grateful. Having family close enough to share life with. The noise, the meals, the mess, the memories are all something I never take for granted.
Speaking of sharing meals…
I spent just $58 at Walmart this week and fed everyone dinner. If you’re cooking for a crowd, you’ll want to double the recipes, but on a normal week my meals make four servings. And before you think, “There’s no way $58 makes good dinners,” let me stop you right there. These meals are flavorful, packed with protein, and full of fresh, healthy ingredients. Budget‑friendly does not mean boring. And sorry for the jump-scare on the pictures this week! I realize the Chimichurri sauce actually looks like the Grinches baby food. But just don’t judge a book by its cover and wait until you try it yourself! It’s out of this world.
