It's been quite a while since I've shared the last episode. It's good to be back, and from now on, my plan is to continue sharing on a biweekly basis each Wednesday - though, let's not hold our breath on that schedule (just kidding!).

In this week's episode, before we dive into the amazing articles, I recommend checking out the insights shared in a recent video by Vivian Santos and Sami Bouchebaba at Swiftable. They provide important details on how they scale and streamline testing practices at Spotify.

Their insights inspired me to rethink my approach: instead of focusing on testing the system the right way, we should start focusing on testing the right system. This perspective also led me to develop certain features and systems for my organization, so I definitely recommend checking out the video.

Please let me know your ideas about the video via Twitter, Linkedin, or email.

Now, onto this week’s episode.

Airbnb has developed a system called Page Performance Score that measures various performance metrics from real users across different platforms including web, iOS, and Android.

This article explores the history of monkey testing on mobile and introduces xcmonkey, a new tool for stress testing for iOS apps!

In a reverse load test, instead of testing the system under test (SUT), the focus is on testing the load generator to see how it can handle high loads and process test metrics in an intuitive manner. This one is quite interesting, and you should definitely read it!
