Earthquake & Incident Watch: 18-29 August 2026 (limited)

Other points to remember:

(1) 25 August-1 September 2026 is a malefic date range, prone to major accidents (especially those related to water, or in places close to water bodies), high violence, several strong storms as well as uptick in earthquake activity. In particular, 27-29 August is likely to see M6.0+ earthquakes and/or major landslides.

(2) For a detailed overview of the month of August 2026, about the kind of events that are likely to happen on particular dates, and the specific countries and regions of the world, in general, that need extra attention, see my August 2026 “global horoscope.”

(3) Throughout this summer at least, I will be looking at only a few areas. This prediction looks at Japan, China, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan area. Of course, sometimes some bordering or nearby countries may also find a mention. This time, I have also looked at a couple of areas of Australia and Southeast Asia.

A few other prediction lines are also given from rest of the world. For any lines in the Western Hemisphere, 19-30 August 2026 can be taken as the period of prediction.

(4) Japan-Kuril Islands area is likely to see M6.5+ earthquake in this period, while Yukon-Alaska border area (Canada-USA) may even see M6.8+ earthquake. Northern India and bordering areas are highly incident-prone and may also see notable quakes. The area around Bali is likely to see an uptick in quake activity. Northeast China or the Korean-Russian areas near its border look incident-prone. Oregon-Washington area of the USA is likely to see notable quakes. Mexico is highly likely to see a strong uptick in earthquakes.

And now below is the next set of predictions, with only some areas of the world seen.

Most prediction lines given below are for M5.0+ quakes (magnitude 5.0 and higher). However, there may still be some that remain within the M3.0-M5.0 range.

Note: Sometimes, earthquake indications on the chart may be rather about other forms of earth disturbances such as volcanic activity, rockfall, avalanche, mudflow, landslide or ground subsidence. They could also be about “non-natural” forms of falls of structures: for example, the collapse of a bridge, an industrial accident in which a big piece of equipment falls down, a plane crash, or a building or mine collapse. Astrologically, they are all one category. So when I say earthquake, the complete category is meant. Please always bear this in mind.

Earthquakes are predicted near the following imaginary lines (within 250 km, but mostly much closer; however, as I am not publishing all the lines, distances may appear larger—see this post). You may extrapolate all lines further at both their ends (especially for accidents and malefic incidents other than quakes). If a high magnitude is predicted for a particular region, then that high magnitude applies to all prediction lines when passing through that region, even if I have not mentioned any magnitude or mentioned a lower magnitude for the other lines. Also, when many lines are close by, it is not necessary that there would be an earthquake for each of those lines; in addition, I may not repeatedly show the same area when several lines are close. However, the concentration of many lines in an area could indicate that that area may see strongly malefic incidents.

- Straight line running through 43°00′N, 146°43′E (south off Shikotan Island, Kuril Islands). This is a highly malefic line: earthquake magnitude may even exceed 6.5 near it. Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended far south, the Papua New Guinea section of the line, too, looks highly malefic:

Even further south, the line goes very close to Geelong-Melbourne area of Victoria (Australia) and thereafter right through the heart of Tasmania: this section, too, looks malefic, particularly for very heavy precipitation (not shown).

- Line between 42°00′N, 143°18′E (off Erimo, Hokkaido, Japan) and 37°00′N, 140°32′E (near Samegawa, Fukushima, Japan). This, too, is a strongly malefic line, and earthquake magnitude is likely to exceed 5.7 near it. Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line. Notable fires, troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 31°00′N, 140°55′E (southeast of Aogashima, Tokyo, Japan). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line. Again, a highly malefic line, and quake magnitude is likely may even exceed 5.6.

- Line between 43°42′N, 133°43′E (near Medvezhii Kut, Primorsky Krai, Russia) and 37°42′N, 130°48′E (a point in the Sea of Japan). Notable fires, troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties also likely near this line. Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line.

When extended south, the same line can be seen as passing through the Okinawa area: between 26°36′N, 126°30′E and 23°23′N, 125°26′E.

When extended far south, the same line can be described thus, and this looks a strongly malefic section, in particular for quakes, accidents, crimes and/or heavy rains: between 0°24′S, 118°34′E (east off Koealabadak, Muara Badak, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia) and 8°00′S, 116°30′E (north off Desa Anjar, Bayan, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia).

- Straight line running through 4°00′S, 132°24′E (east of Gorong Island, East Seram, Maluku, Indonesia). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended a bit north, the line passes through the Palau region, and this section appears somewhat malefic:

When extended south, the South Australia section of the line appears malefic:

- Straight line running through 31°00′N, 131°38′E (southeast off Nichinan, Miyazaki, Japan). Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line.

- Straight line running through 27°00′N, 129°41′E (southeast of Tokunoshima 徳之島町, Oshima District, Kagoshima, Japan). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended north, the line passes through China-North Korea border area, and this section does look somewhat malefic:

- Straight line running through 7°42′N, 123°34′E (off San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines). Notable fires, troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties also likely near this line.

When extended north, the line goes close by Shenyang (Liaoning, China) (not shown).

- Line between 42°30′N, 123°26′E (near Faku Town, Faku County, Shenyang, Liaoning, China) and 33°30′N, 120°04′E (near Xinxing Town, Tinghu District, Yancheng, Jiangsu, China). This is a highly malefic line, and quake magnitude near it could even cross 5.4. Notable accidents, incidents of violence, troubles for the destitute, low temperatures, storms, troubles for waste processing or storage facilities, conflicts to gain power, notable criminal incidents, troubles for criminal networks and troubles for those in positions of power also likely in some sections of this line.

- Straight line running through 36°00′N, 116°01′E (near Taiqian County, Puyang, Henan, China). Notable accidents, incidents of violence, troubles for the destitute, low temperatures, storms, troubles for waste processing or storage facilities, conflicts to gain power, notable criminal incidents, troubles for criminal networks and troubles for those in positions of power also likely in some sections of this line.

On extending south, the line passes through Jiangxi Province of China (not shown). Thereafter, the South China Sea area of the line looks malefic, particularly for aviation incidents:

When extended further south, the line passes close by the Indonesian island of Bali (not shown).

- Straight line running through 38°00′N, 106°24′E (near Dumuqiaoxiang, Lingwu, Yinchuan, Ningxia, China). Notable accidents or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, troubles for children or the young, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

- Line between 29°00′N, 102°05′E (near Wanbaxiang, Jiulong County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China) and 24°11′N, 101°17′E (near Jiujiaxiang, Zhenyuan Yi, Hani and Lahu Autonomous County, Puer, Yunnan, China). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Line between 32°12′N, 96°38′E (near Yaorongga 要荣尕, Nangqên County, Yushu, Qinghai, China) and 26°48′N, 95°56′E (near Ringhkau Ga, Sagaing, Myanmar). Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the very wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, or very strong precipitation also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 36°23′N, 95°26′E (near Galetan 尕勒滩, Golmud, Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai, China). Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, troubles for women or artists, or very high precipitation also likely near this line.

- Line between 27°23′N, 94°28′E (near Ratuwa, Assam, India) and 18°30′N, 93°32′E (off Meinmagwe, Rakhine, Myanmar). Copious rainfall, strong landslides, troubles to women or the young or to those in art, fashion or luxury sectors, or troubles for the wealthy, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended south, the same line can be seen passing through India’s Andaman and Nicobar islands region: between 11°54′N, 92°54′E and 1°30′N, 91°58′E.

- Line between 24°00′N, 89°50′E (near Tengripara, Dhaka Division, Bangladesh) and 13°11′N, 89°04′E (a point in the Bay of Bengal). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended north, the same line can be described thus: between 44°17′N, 91°43′E (near Kalatuobie 喀拉托别, Barköl Kazakh Autonomous County, Hami, Xinjiang, China) and 40°36′N, 91°17′E (near Luobupo Marsh, Ruoqiang County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China).

- Line between 27°18′N, 86°25′E (near Chyanam, Koshi Province, Nepal) and 22°48′N, 86°13′E (near Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 45°00′N, 86°14′E (north of Yisi Jiutuan Shilian 一四九团十连, Manas County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

- Line between 46°42′N, 85°14′E (near Yinbaiwobulezeng 音白沃布勒增, Hoboksar Mongol Autonomous County, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, China) and 43°36′N, 85°04′E (near Ku’Er Ku’Er 库尔库尔, Shawan County, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, China). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

On extending south, after crossing the vast Tibetan plateau (not shown), the line crosses the Nepal-India border near Gorakhpur, and this section looks highly malefic, with M5.5+ earthquakes likely: between 28°41′N, 84°26′E (near Thoche, Gandaki Province, Nepal) and 24°36′N, 84°17′E (near Dhanibar, Bihar, India). Varanasi Airport could see incidents.

Further south, the line crosses the Odisha-Andhra coastline (India) (not shown).

- Line between 31°53′N, 78°54′E (near Diyaxiang, Zanda County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, China) and 28°30′N, 78°55′E (near Chandausi, Uttar Pradesh, India). Noteworthy accidents, very heavy precipitation or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

On extending south, the line goes through the Nagpur-Hyderabad area of central India: between 20°00′N, 79°00′E and 16°48′N, 79°01′E.

When extended north, the line can be seen through the Kashgar Prefecture of China: between 40°00′N, 78°49′E and 36°23′N, 78°51′E.

- Line between 36°36′N, 75°12′E (near Spe Syng, Kashmir) and 32°47′N, 75°21′E (near Jandriari, Kashmir). This is a highly malefic line, and earthquake magnitude near it is likely to cross 5.5. Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

On extending north, the city of Kashgar (Xinjiang, China) lies very close to the line (not shown).

- Straight line running through 37°00′N, 73°42′E (east of Borak, Badakhshan, Afghanistan). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

When extended south, the Maharashtra-Goa-North Karnataka section (India) looks malefic:

- Line between 33°36′N, 64°43′E (near Asya-i-Sokhta, Ghor, Afghanistan) and 25°48′N, 65°38′E (near Kauri, Balochistan, Pakistan). Copious rainfall, strong landslides, troubles to women or the young or to those in art, fashion or luxury sectors, or troubles for the wealthy, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

A few additional lines, which all look highly malefic:

- Straight line running through 10°00′S, 173°34′E (a point in the South Pacific). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains or a major storm, and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 16°53′S, 166°21′E (near Vanuatu). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line. Earthquake magnitude is likely to cross 6.0, and major storm is also likely.

- Line between 34°47′N, 49°52′E (near Qezeljeh, Markazi, Iran) and 29°00′N, 51°16′E (near Eshkali, Bushehr, Iran). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

On extending north, the line passes very close by the Caspian Sea coastline of Azerbaijan (not shown).

- Line between 31°30′N, 33°04′E (off Qaryat el-Sadat, Bir El Abd, North Sinai Governorate, Egypt) and 18°23′N, 37°21′E (northwest of Herbagat, Red Sea, Sudan). Noteworthy accidents, high winds or storms, or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

On extending north, the eastern Mediterranean Sea section of the line looks malefic, passing close by Paphos (Cyprus) and Antalya (Türkiye):

- Straight line running through 30°11′N, 6°25′W (near El Merja, Drâa-Tafilalet, Morocco). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 21°48′N, 13°38′W (northeast of Zug, Western Sahara). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or notable violence in general, notable incidents of fire/explosions, troubles for the young, copious rains & storms, and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

When extended north, the line skirts the coastline of eastern Iceland, and this section looks malefic, in particular for seismic activity:

- Line between 41°12′N, 27°58′W (north off Santa Cruz da Graciosa, Azores, Portugal) and 34°06′N, 22°45′W (southeast of Vila do Porto, Azores, Portugal). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 53°00′S, 33°16′W (northeast of South Georgia Island). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended far north, some of the North Atlantic area on the same longitude (not shown) will see very heavy rains, and ships passing through the area must be careful.

- Straight line running through 26°00′S, 47°36′W (off Guaratuba, Paraná, Brazil). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended south, the line passes near the South Orkney Islands of Antarctica, and this section looks highly malefic:

- Line between 22°00′N, 95°40′W (off Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico) and 14°54′N, 95°21′W (off Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico). This is a highly malefic line, and earthquake magnitude may even cross 5.8 near it in the prediction section shown. Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 44°00′N, 95°44′W (near Slayton, Minnesota, USA). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Line between 34°42′N, 97°30′W (near Foster, Oklahoma, USA) and 25°41′N, 97°10′W (near Rancho Santa Isabel, Tamaulipas, Mexico). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Line between 30°41′N, 102°42′W (southeast of Fort Stockton, Texas, USA) and 21°30′N, 103°01′W (near Palma Cuata, Zacatecas, Mexico). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Line between 36°53′N, 115°54′W (near Sugar Bunker, Nevada, USA) and 30°11′N, 117°34′W (northeast of Isla Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Line between 44°47′N, 122°23′W (near Gates, Oregon, USA) and 40°17′N, 124°39′W (off Petrolia, California, USA). This is a highly malefic line, and M5.6+ earthquakes are likely near it. Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Line between 62°00′N, 131°20′W (east of Ross River, Yukon, Canada) and 53°30′N, 150°00′W (a point in the North Pacific). This is a highly malefic line, and earthquake magnitude is likely to cross even M6.8. Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

Note 2: Owing to lack of time, I am unable to look at every single prediction line in detail. I am publishing only those which look more prominent to me. It is possible that on some prediction line(s) that I have not chosen, a strong enough earthquake may take place, but I can only do my best with the time constraints possible. However, wherever a line is given, an earthquake or some other incident that can or does lead to fall of structures is highly likely to happen near it, unless weak probability is already noted.

Note 3: If a big earthquake has happened in a place, aftershocks may continue for days, weeks and even months. I predict the big (usually the first) earthquake, not always the aftershocks (unless they are also seen prominently on the charts, as does happen sometimes).

Note 4: The straight lines are an approximation of curved lines. As you go at extreme latitudes, the prediction lines will become more and more “flat,” given that the Earth’s curvature sharpens towards the Poles.
