Hi readers. Spring is here, and I am trying to do what seems to be the most important thing right now, that is to allow a story to come together, of life as I’ve known it, of what has been lost, of what has been gained, of all that is yet to come into being. We all need to allow internal dust to settle, and get real about our self perception.
I am back to more writing and hope it reaches you. I am writing more these days, and it would mean a lot to me if you could support my Substack through sharing, commenting and maybe simply liking so it may reach more people ( if you enjoyed my work of course).

So onwards and upwards to the Aries Season musings.
Arrival of an Aries season, the Spring Equinox on March 20th, is always a significant moment each year. It marks another opportunity to start anew, to have another go on what it means being you. A lot of you might have felt that the first quarter of the year was painfully unremarkable and emotionally turbulent, forcing you into a much needed standstill. The pronounced emphasis on the Pisces part of our chart was impossible to bypass or ignore, the focus on hidden emotional patterns, ways of self undoing and dealing with habits that quietly stall you was something more significant than you have ever realized. The undercurrents of your psyche came all out in the open to be dealt with. And March 20th brings us towards yet another attempt at being more self governed and actualized as an individual. What a pivotal Aries season this one is, it holds a master of re-building and self-actualizing within it. Saturn in Aries makes this a season of diligence and patience. No skipping steps this season. Now let’s go ahead and look at the energies and the key dates.
On March 20th Sun enters Aries, go time you’d think, but with Saturn and Neptune in Aries where you are going and how fast you should move is not clear. Considering that Moon is also in Aries on the day of solar ingress into Aries, you most likely feel eager and frustrated with the lack of movement, but with the ruler of the season, Mars being in Pisces, we are still dealing with the underbelly of our desires, fears and internal wirings, that most likely have something to do with home, family, sense of security and obligation. I implore you to devote yourself to the slowness of whatever is unfolding, it is ok, you are not late, a new path is forming.
On the same day, March 20th, Mercury turns direct in Pisces in the exact conjunction to the North Node at 8º degrees. There is still a great deal of work to be done in the Pisces part of our charts, and if you devote the beginning of the Aries season to anything, make it towards the courage of looking at what is scary and painful and has been holding you hostage for a long time. With Mercury direct in Pisces and Mars, ruler of the season in Pisces for a big part of Aries season, your courage and focus are needed to imagine the world and your place in it without any reservations, to see the illusion of so much that surrounds you, the fears and desires. We are actively stripping power from places, systems, people, habits and constructs that should have never held this much power in the first place. The misplaced rulership and authority is crumbling.
On March 22nd, the Sun meets Neptune in Aries for the first time. Fourteen years of these conjunctions are ahead of us, the subtle and profound transformation of the underlying principles upon which a lot of your life is built, transformation of your subconscious relationship to the idea of courage and ego is here. Aries house in your chart is where a great deal of action and change will take place in the years to come. The Sun/Neptune in Aries dissolves some long standing assumptions around how you can achieve your goals, and what it takes to cross the threshold of your capacity for courage. It is important to be extra gentle with yourself around the first week of Aries season, as Sun/Neptune conjunctions can exhaust our protective fields, and it is important that you mind who and what has access to you. This is a great time to focus on any creative projects, consciously fill yourself up with what expands and uplifts you, with what gives you courage, what re-affirms the fluidity of your path. Spiritual practice is needed here, praying is Neptunian medicine. In Aries I would imagine the prayer has to be about the correct application of one’s true self, about not having false kings guiding your life force.
On March 25th Sun meets Saturn at 4º of Aries. Whatever fears and doubts plague you leading up to March 25th, do not be in haste of assigning truth to them. Can you allow a moment of uncertainty not to define your direction, your sense of worth and your capacity to stand through it all. Sun/Saturn tends to freeze up the area in the chart where it happens. Try to schedule some form of light physical exercise around these dates, ideally something not too forceful, like stretching, dancing, walking, qi-gong. In Aries, energy needs to be actively worked out of the body, your long term goals and plans can start crystallizing through shifting focus from mind to body, from excessive planning to making space for it. The Sun/Saturn conjunction this year and one next year are mostly exploration and test of your relationship to fear of being you.
On March 30th Venus enters Taurus, her domicile. Here questions of stability and self care come to the forefront. Some level of passivity is implied, this Venus magnetizes things to her through the state of enjoyment. With Venus here, you have an opportunity to explore the value of permanence in regards to the Taurus part of your life. Resolving financial issues and relational uncertainties is on the table, softening the grip is necessary here to see the way out of any material, earthly difficulty.
On April 1st we arrive at the Full Moon at 12º of Libra. This is activation of contracts, agreements, relationships, both personal and professional. Considering the overall energy of this Aries season, this lunation reveals a great deal of our more suppressed needs and relational expectations. What are your actual requirements to engage in any kind of contractual, relational dynamic? The ruler of this lunation is Venus in her home sign of Taurus, in the applying square to Pluto in Aquarius. Consider the importance of stability to your involvement in the larger global events, also consider that in the world that is in such flux you cannot cling to stability above all, but you can cling to some idea of safety that stems from correct collaborations and relationships, from fair agreements and clear expectations. This lunation brings to the light some of the compromises you need to make with the idea of safety/stability that has been adopted by you a long time ago.
On April 9th Mars, the ruling planet of the season enters Aries. Now we are talking about more outward directed life force. It is only once every two years that Mars graces its domicile of Aries, it is the beginning of a cycle that requires effort and brave choices made towards the Aries house in your chart. The key here is managing your expectations, the weeks prior to this ingress the themes of where you need to channel your energy has slowly been building, now is the execution time, the arrow starts moving. But keep in mind that Saturn and Neptune are standing on guard in Aries waiting for Mars. They are the sort of energy that will keep any impulsive, immature or ungrounded action of Mars in check. So yes, it is action time, but be prepared to put in work and fix the bugs in your master plan. What is the underlying motive of any action taken now, Is it fear, pressure, control or actual sense of personal power? Also can you be patient and trust the unfolding story of an action taken, or does it have to be an instant gratification scenario?
On April 12th Mars meets Neptune in Aries. The story is if Mars doesn’t gain a spiritual, more elevated perspective on things, Neptune will dissolve or contaminate this Mars. Neptune with Mars is an inflammation of suppressed desire. Also the idea of self sacrifice, effort wasted in illusion and in the worst case scenario a holy war are all on the table. This conjunction might leave us somewhat disoriented or tempted to fill our heads with stories a bit divorced from the reality of the moment. Pause, again make sure you have a physical activity scheduled for these days, and treat any incoming thoughts, impulses with curiosity, but not with instant commitment and blind faith. Saving the world starts with creating a wholesome corner of your own world and pulling people into it. Contemplate that. This is an aspect of world building if you dare to think that you deserve this much imagining power.
On April 17th we arrive at the New Moon at 27º of Aries. This is a heavily Arian lunation, its ruler Mars sits also in Aries on the midpoint between Mercury and Saturn. The pressure is palpable and so is the opportunity to do things differently, to make a choice towards radical maturity and courage. There is something single minded and sharp about this New Moon, it is about understanding your real limitations and also getting clear about the imagined ones. And treating both of those with persistent dismantling. This New Moon has to be treated in the most fundamental manner, write and re-write your long term aspirations and goals, physical activity has to become one of the most important aspects of this cycle. Organize your primal fire, and make sure that your needs are part of this organizing.
This season ends with a crystallizing conjunction between malefics Mars and Saturn in Aries on April 19th. Saturn often speaks of doing less, doing what is essential, what is core preserving. If you happen to understand by now what is essential for you, if you stop fighting that knowing, you are good in spite of the apparent difficulties of this transit. Here It might be hard to realize that occasional passivity is essential, or that sleep at times is more important than courage, or maybe that pen and paper and your voice are your main tools of organizing your essential nature. This is a meeting of malefics, so I do not have illusions on the matter, it stings, it limits. But with Mercury in the mix, you need to find ways of turning this sting into a message, communicate it, write about it, make sure that the lesson you are being taught here is not falling through the cracks. Document it and re-group. This Aries season is not about going fast, not about doing a lot or being the bravest of them all, it is about doing that one thing with exquisite sharpness and determination.
