Seeds of Light by Elizabeth Astor · Seeds of Light by Elizabeth Astor

Hello friends! As the days gracefully shorten and the nights grow longer, I encourage you to accept nature's invitation to slow down and turn towards yourself with care and resourcing practices. As one of my first meditation teachers often said, “You have to practice when the sun is shining. You have to read the manual for your tank when you are not in the battlefield”. Taking time now to practice energetic hygiene, such as grounding, calming your nervous system, meditation, and letting go of what does not serve you is so beneficial, before you are in the thick of it all.

Take your inspiration from the way the trees let go of their leaves in this season; they just let go. It is so helpful to do these practices in the days before the holidays.

And, as we embrace the cooler months, let’s not allow illness, indulgence, or reduced sunlight to dampen our vitality—take advantage of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale on supplements from Fullscript to support your health and wellness! Check out my protocol below for supporting your digestive and nervous system during the hectic holiday season.

If you enjoy these newsletters or know of someone who might benefit from my work, please share this with them. Thank you!

Let your heart break today. Feel your feelings. Your disappointment, anger, fear. Let all thoughts, pictures in the mind, voices in the head, have their say. Feel your feet on the ground. Bring attention back to the here and now. To yourself: Feel the morning sun on your face. The breath rising and falling. Hear the sounds all around you. The bird singing. The television blaring. The traffic, the chatter of children.
So much here remains unchanged. So much here is familiar. Life goes on. The sense of being alive. The throb and pulse of being. Your ability to love, to hold yourself in presence. To connect with others, friends and strangers. To embrace difficult sensations.
Don't abandon yourself for a chaotic world. Recommit to your path today with even greater ferocity. Nothing is so bad when you stay close to the place where you are. Nothing is so bad when you touch your own power. Presence itself.

"When your heart breaks, make sure it breaks open."
-Adyashanti
