A mixtape of the month’s most resonant words and sounds.

Katsushika Hokusai 葛飾 北斎 1760 - 1849

July was a tough month, I’ve had to push through a lot of stress this year and it finally caught up with me, so this month was largely spent getting life back on track. I’ve been focussing on better habits, exercise, proper sleep and eating. It’s taken a while but my energy levels are returning and mentally I’m in a better place. As a chronic over-thinker it’s amazing how much a daily meditation practice and spending more time in nature can ground you back in “the now” and get you out of a negative feedback loop.

I’ve intentionally avoided consuming a lot of media so today’s round-up will be fairly short. Some gentle sounds building to more upbeat tracks from Rival Consoles. I really enjoyed this video from Ableton about the making of Landscape from Memory, it’s great when Artists share their process and I found this one particularly insightful.

Regular transmissions of a creative nature will resume soon…
