If you’ve been here a while, you might know about my love for a Hugo Spritz (way better than an Aperol Spritz imo)… but every year, I give her a little holiday makeover. Think all the sparkle of a classic spritz with a festive, wintery twist—light, refreshing, and so pretty on a Thanksgiving or Christmas table.

I love serving this before dinner while everyone’s mingling in the kitchen, or making a batch when I’m hosting a holiday party. It’s festive without being heavy (key for Thanksgiving!!), and the pomegranate gives it the prettiest ruby glow.

Here’s how to make one:

Holiday Hugo Spritz (Serves 1)

Ingredients

  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur

  • 1 mint sprig, plus more for garnish

  • 1 oz pomegranate juice

  • 2 oz prosecco or champagne

  • 2 oz sparkling water

  • Pomegranate seeds (for garnish)

Directions

  1. In a large glass, muddle the elderflower liqueur with a mint sprig and let it sit for a minute or two to let the mint open up.

  2. Add ice.

  3. Pour in the pomegranate juice, Prosecco, and sparkling water.

  4. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and a fresh sprig of mint.

Tip: If you’re hosting a crowd, you can easily scale this into a pitcher or punch bowl—just add the sparkling water right before serving to keep it bubbly.

Cheers to the coziest season and the simplest, prettiest holiday cocktail ♥️
