Make a mood board! I’ve been doing this my whole life and it’s truly one of the most therapeutic rituals. Creatively fueling and meditative. Plus, it’s an ideal way to get a glimpse into the inner workings of your mind. What you’re gravitating to, ideas you could bring to life, and clues for what is piquing your interest!

Side note: did you know you could make moodboard collages from images saved on Pinterest? Open the app and log in, click the + button next to search and select collage. It let’s you select a board you want to create from. In case you aren’t familiar with other apps, thought I would share it’s super easy!

Some things on my mind, à la the above:

I have a glassware collection post in the works… it has my mind on Murano! I purchased the glass above on Etsy this week, how cute is it?

Pieces that are handmade — intricate attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. Always attracted to woven, beaded, embroidered, embellished, handblown, carved. They end up being the works of art in my closet and home.

I am also in the mood to add more charming layers around our house. Like ribbon tape on roman shades or source new fun fabric for custom pillows and coverlets. I feel like since our remodel I’ve needed the peace that comes with our grounding foundation… and now I’m ready to build off of it.

When we ordered our Rachel Donath stools and dining chairs she didn’t have the cushions at the time — they just arrived and are so beautiful! I might want to add smaller pillows at some point to bring more comfort and pattern into the mix. Making favorite things in our house my own, by adding my own personal flare to it.

By the way, these stools are not only my ideal material, color, and texture but have also been very sturdy and safe for my kids. I love them so much.

Give yourself an at-home nurture and reset. A long shower with a salt scrub. A scalp massage (scalp tools are so underrated, such a luxury), then wrap into a robe (this one is so gorgeous, I wear it each morning) and turn on an LED mask or eye mask. Sip tea with a weighted blanket while you read. Little rituals that make you feel taken care of and good. I also love a little magnesium spray before bed.

Get outside and savor the season! Especially in the morning and evening when things aren’t as hot. The sound of birds chirping, the warm breeze, scenes of green and everything in the garden flourishing. Golden hour with a glass of wine. I mentioned this recently but have been pulling out my nicer cameras this summer and taking advantage of the lighting this time of year. So dreamy! Savor the lighter evenings.

It has truly been a bloomer summer for me — I just ordered the above and the terry style, too. I got that cotton boatneck and it’s perfect. The sunglasses are in my cart. Just a few of the kind of things that feel perfect for a summer weekend out back.

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content as they say. Do something creative or something your future self (hey, Monday, I was born ready) would thank you for. Plan out your week. Write out all the to-do’s circling your head so they no longer live there on loop and course them out little by little. Light a candle, put on a record, sip your coffee and think about what you could inject in your week to make you happy.

A few more things for your weekend:

I have been saving to my recipe board if you want to try something new!

Make an outdoor fort with your littles

A great app idea, if you’re hosting friends over… I want to do this

In case you missed it
