When we launched Inside the Art World, the goal was never just to create another podcast.

When we launched Inside the Art World, the goal was never just to create another podcast.

It was always about building a space for real conversations. Conversations that help people better understand the art world, not from a distance, but from the people actively shaping it.

Over the past few episodes, we’ve sat down with voices across the industry who each bring a different perspective on what the art world is, where it is falling short, and what needs to be built next.

helped us think deeply about systems, structure, cultural value and what it means to build a healthier art ecosystem.

gave us a grounded view of the reality behind running galleries, fairs and cultural platforms, reminding us that the art world is not always glamorous. It is work, resilience, spreadsheets, community, risk and a willingness to keep going.

brought a much-needed conversation around accessibility, fairness, artist payments, collecting and why the art world still feels intimidating for so many people.

Touria El Glaoui took us into the global conversation around contemporary African art, the creation of 1-54, representation, infrastructure, collectors and why African art is far bigger than a trend.

Each episode has taught us something different.

The art world needs more transparency.

Artists need more than talent. They need structure, relationships, confidence, community and access to information.

Collectors need to be part of the conversation earlier, especially those who may not come from traditional collecting backgrounds.

Institutions and galleries need to think more deeply about how they welcome people, how they support artists and how they build long-term value.

Cultural platforms need to become more than moments in the calendar. They need to become ecosystems.

And most importantly, the knowledge that often sits behind closed doors needs to be shared more openly.

That is the value we want Inside the Art World to keep bringing.

We want this podcast to become a place where artists, collectors, curators, gallerists, cultural strategists, founders, writers and anyone interested in the art space can come to learn from people who have built, failed, grown, experimented and found ways to keep moving.

We also want it to be useful.

Not just interesting.

Useful.

If you are an artist trying to understand how to build a sustainable career, there should be something here for you.

If you are a collector trying to understand where to start, there should be something here for you.

If you are trying to work in the art industry, build a cultural platform, understand the market, navigate galleries, or simply feel more confident entering the space, there should be something here for you.

That is the bigger play.

We are not here to just complain about the art world.

There is enough of that already.

We are here to have honest conversations, learn from the people doing the work, and use those lessons to build better routes into the industry for more people.

As we continue to grow the podcast, we’ll be bringing on more guests across the art world and wider creative industries. The aim is to keep widening the conversation while staying focused on value, insight and access.

We want to speak to the people building platforms, shaping culture, supporting artists, collecting work, challenging old systems and creating new ones.

We want to keep documenting what is changing.

We want to keep asking better questions.

And we want to keep making the art world feel more understandable, more open and more useful to the people trying to navigate it.
