Athenaeum v0.5.0-beta.1

The batch beta — every transfer is one honest row with real attempt history, receivers take several devices in parallel under an upload speed cap, project downloads pull from every member at once, and a long list of Windows fixes. Transfer records reset on upgrade — update every device together.

Athenaeum v0.4.0-beta.3

The delivery beta — a new Transfers screen tracks every batch's live progress and history, transfers to an offline machine retry forever with a growing back-off instead of failing, either side can cancel, the app and Perseus each run one hardened sync transport, and this beta carries the first preview of shared collaboration projects.

Athenaeum v0.4.0-beta.2

The sync mesh debut — every signed-in machine becomes a full peer you can send to directly, transfers skip frames the destination already has via a real content-hash comparison, and Perseus now batches finished frames instead of firing them one by one.

Athenaeum v0.4.0-beta.1

The personal sync debut — pair your machines with a one-time code and send frames peer-to-peer with no cloud storage in between, and meet Perseus, a new capture-node agent that watches your telescope's capture folders and sends finished frames home on its own.

Athenaeum v0.3.0

The calibration release — build master darks, flats and bias in-app with configurable integration recipes, calibrate your lights against them with Athenaeum's own math, and export stacker-ready data. Plus a major star-measurement accuracy overhaul, blend rejection, and frame-wide star detection for plate solving.

Athenaeum v0.2.4

The foundation release — every catalog and record gets a permanent identity (the groundwork for master libraries, mosaics, and sharing data between imagers), desktop and web now run one shared backend (several web-only bugs fixed on the way, including a path-traversal hole), and Athenaeum learns to write standards-compliant FITS files.

Athenaeum v0.2.2-beta.1

First beta of the 0.2.2 cycle — a data-safety and hardening release. Hash-verified archive restores, self-healing interrupted moves, a volume-aware scanner, one shared event stream per browser tab (multi-tab web use works now), opt-in API-key protection for the web app, registration guards, and a 35-command internal cleanup.

Athenaeum v0.2.3

A stable release combining two cycles — data-safety hardening (hash-verified restores, self-healing moves, volume-aware scanning, web multi-tab fix, opt-in API-key auth) and a full structured-logging overhaul with live level control, per-operation correlation, and rotating JSONL files.

Athenaeum v0.2.1

A rebuilt star catalog for plate solving — downloadable Gaia DR3 density tiers chosen automatically from your frames — a plate solver that clears more fields, signed and notarized macOS builds, a more capable Browse Files metadata editor, and a global notification center.

Athenaeum v0.2.0

The first stable release since v0.1.0. Frame analysis, plate solving, Blink viewer, dual-pane file browser, Archive feature, background folder monitoring, a Docker/web build with full feature parity, a sky chart, and a rebuilt duplicates picker. Nine months of beta releases collapsed into one milestone.

Athenaeum v0.2.0-beta.9

A new inline chart view on the Analysis tab — a configurable grid of scatter plots that share selection, rejection thresholds, and the time axis with the table. Plus a rewrite of the FWHM auto-suggestion math to eliminate a double-conversion bug that made the px ↔ arcsec toggle produce wrong values.

Athenaeum v0.2.0-beta.8

Short follow-up to beta 7 that closes two archive-related bugs. The bigger one was a silent data-loss path where an archive→restore cycle could empty the restored frame set on the next monitor scan tick. The other was the scanner reporting moved-into-zip files as "missing".

Athenaeum v0.2.0-beta.7

The big one this beta is the Archive feature — finished frame sets can be packaged into ZIP archives in user-configured destination folders, with a smart restore that only fills in what's actually missing. Plus a new contextual lifecycle for the FrameSetDetail toolbar and a fix for a sneaky off-by-one row mapping in get_files.

Athenaeum v0.2.0-beta.6

Plate solving lands, background folder monitoring keeps the catalog fresh on its own, and the duplicates picker becomes a configurable rule chain with per-rule coverage counts and byte-by-byte deep verify.

Introducing Athenaeum

Athenaeum v0.1.0 is here — a desktop app for managing your astrophotography FITS and XISF files.
