15 Books That Expanded the Way I Think About Images, Storytelling and Creativity

I read a lot, sometimes not the entire book. When it bores me I abandon it and start a new one, but there are certain books that really expanded my ways of thinking. For example, Ways of Seeing, On Photography and The Creative Act are those books just like for everyone but I deliberately didn’t include them in this list since everyone already knows. All three are brilliant. They are also the three titles anyone who has spent five minutes near art direction has already been recommended.

So here are 15 books I recommend if you are ready to expand your thinking. Some are about images directly. Most have nothing to do with images at all, and those tend to be the ones that changed the way I work the most.
