Aron Beauregard · Aron Beauregard Maggot Mailing List

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve done an update. I know this is long overdue, and I’m sorry for the wait. I’ve had a lot of projects pulling me in different directions as well as life changes that have made it a little tricky to be active online, but I hope today’s update will get you hyped!

Wade doesn’t know why he’s having fever dreams about a field in the middle of nowhere or a menacing man with sharp fingers and albino skin. The black pyramid and long line of obedient people waiting to get inside are equally unsettling. When he realizes it isn’t just a dream, Wade knows the thrill he’s always hungered for has finally arrived.

Everything that once excited Cora has been taken from her—her fiancé, a compelling career, and even her eyesight. But when she learns about a mysterious structure appearing nearby, it resurrects the fearless version of her she thought was dead. With rumblings about the pyramid’s powers gaining traction, she’ll stop at nothing to find out if there’s truth to the rumors.

The people in the town of Crone are told the pyramid holds exactly what they’ve been waiting for. All they have to do is get in line. But what they aren’t told is once they get in line, they can’t get out.

I waited a long time to write this book. Many years ago, when I first got the idea, I was driving across the country. I had a really strong feeling about the concept and philosophical impact of the ideas captured in this nasty tale of cosmic horror. I believed in the story so much that I told myself I wouldn’t write it until I had released at least 20 books. I wanted to present readers with the best possible version of “The Line” written by the most seasoned version of Aron Beauregard.

I even considered seeking out an agent for this book and possibly going the route of traditional publishing because I believe this book holds themes that everyone can relate to in one way or another. Despite feeling “The Line” had mainstream potential, in typical AB Horror fashion, my control freak nature eventually took over. I wanted to work with the incredible Justin T. Coons because I believed he’d be the perfect person to capture this story, and taking one look at his cover lets me know I made the right decision. In addition, my longtime cover artist, Anton Rosovsky, absolutely crushed the hardcase cover for the deluxe hardback I have planned. Anton’s interior illustrations are also really badass, and I can’t wait for readers to catch a glimpse.

Look for reveals of the hardcase cover, an illustration or two, specific release dates, and more info on “The Line” in the upcoming weeks. I know everyone says their newest book is the best, but I truly feel that way. I’m incredibly excited for you all to check it out! And speaking of new books . . .

I just finished another book. This was a big deal for me because I’ve been going through a lot personally. It’s been a while since I was able to finish something, and I’ve gotta say it came out fucking crazy awesome. The book is probably more on the extreme side than some of my more recent work. I think anyone who enjoys my early stuff should be excited. In a way, this book is me revisiting some of my brutal origins but with a much more refined approach. I can’t wait to talk more about it, as well as some other projects I’m unable to discuss just yet.

Due to work related shit and personal shit I’m not going to be able to do any other signings this year. I’m very sorry to anyone who had plans to go and meet me. I’m hoping that I can get back out there a little in 2027 and meet you then. I had the below dates lined up, but they are both canceled. I still encourage you to attend the events and support the other writers you enjoy at them, but just know I WILL NOT BE ATTENDING EITHER OF THESE:

  • 9/25 - 9/27 ‘MASSACRE ON THE MOUNTAIN’ will be held at the Timberline Lodge in Oregan for more information CLICK HERE.

  • 11/6 - 11/8 ‘KILLERCON’ will be in Austin, TX. For more details CLICK HERE.

I wanted to take a quick moment to give a shoutout to the event coordinators and all the readers who showed up for “Haunt the Reader” which I recently attended in PA. Had an amazing time at the event, and since I won’t be doing any more this year, it was nice to go out on such a high note. Here are a few highlights:

Got to meet one of my biggest supporters, Toby! Thanks for traveling to see me, I appreciate you!

With Kristopher Triana, hanging out by the dumpsters, like the trash we are! You know what happened here, a lot of old man complaining and shit-talking!

And last but not least, it was SO awesome to get to spend time with my lovely girlfriend. She’s truly the sweetest person on the planet and makes me light up every time she looks my way. I’m lucky to have someone like her who is willing to feed me snacks, so my hands don’t get messy while I’m signing books. Love you, Christina!

I had such a fun time writing “Horsefly” that I want to remind you it is available in eBook, paperback, and audiobook formats. There are also some signed hardcovers available at ABHorror.com for anyone interested. “Horsefly” is an immersive reading experience with 15 illustrations and over 11 minutes of AI-free animation!

Let me remind about the premise again:

CAREFUL, SHE BITES!

Zach and LeeAnn have agreed to an unorthodox adventure. They plan on meeting with some open-minded friends in an isolated forest and testing the foundation of their relationship. But unbeknownst to them, their romantic bond isn’t the only thing that will be challenged. The monstrosity lurking in the woods will test their courage, resilience, and will to survive.

Fueled by steroids, infected with a lab-conjured disease, and hampered by bizarre side-effects, the horsefly roams. A fiery internal rage and insatiable lust for blood control her every move. But while the horsefly tries to work through her bodily changes, she is haunted by existential questions. Why was she chosen to usher forth the evolution of her species? And why does her addictive urge to slaughter and feast push her far beyond the spectrum of her appetite?

Horsefly is an Immersive Entertainment Experience. It contains over 11 minutes of complementary animated video and 15 interior illustrations. The videos are designed to give the reader a window into some of the book’s nastiest scenes.

WARNING: This book contains graphic content. Reader discretion is advised.
