It is with great excitement that I announce “Horsefly” my latest book—an immersive reading experience with 15 illustrations and over 11 minutes of AI-free animation has officially released in both eBook and paperback!
Let me remind about the premise again:
CAREFUL, SHE BITES!
Zach and LeeAnn have agreed to an unorthodox adventure. They plan on meeting with some open-minded friends in an isolated forest and testing the foundation of their relationship. But unbeknownst to them, their romantic bond isn’t the only thing that will be challenged. The monstrosity lurking in the woods will test their courage, resilience, and will to survive.
Fueled by steroids, infected with a lab-conjured disease, and hampered by bizarre side-effects, the horsefly roams. A fiery internal rage and insatiable lust for blood control her every move. But while the horsefly tries to work through her bodily changes, she is haunted by existential questions. Why was she chosen to usher forth the evolution of her species? And why does her addictive urge to slaughter and feast push her far beyond the spectrum of her appetite?
Horsefly is an Immersive Entertainment Experience. It contains over 11 minutes of complementary animated video and 15 interior illustrations. The videos are designed to give the reader a window into some of the book’s nastiest scenes.

The immersive reading experience that is Horsefly has officially been released in audiobook! Narrated by the always captivating Chuck Brugee, the audiobook version of Horsefly is a fun ride that you’re not going to want to miss. I know the first question people are going to have about the audiobook is if the videos will be included. I’m glad to stay they will! Upon purchase listeners will be granted access to a special PDF document that includes the QR codes/links to the associated videos (Note: the 15 illustrations are hardcover, paperback, and ebook only).
I would also like to take this time to remind you that the videos are created by Jorge Jaramillo—the same talented animator who I worked with on Benjamin, which if you remember, also has a QR code expereince. Working with Jorge on this project really helped take it to the next level and make Horsefly a truly unique experience. I can’t wait for you guys to check it out!
