On a hunt for weird collage architectural design, I found this gem of an agency, Infraestudio. They post poetic project pages using collage art, wherein every image implies a story, along with epigramatic text—with an occasional Borges reference. I mean:
“Escape from modern architecture is the latest theater play in modern architecture. Feeling guilty about her own boredom, she no longer wants to look like herself.”
“Some people may perceive it as a banana plantation, because it is, indeed, made up of an indefinite number of banana plants.”
“This thin typology is equivalent to the shortest distance between the dissolution of the house and the conquest of the countryside.”
“We wanted to build a found-ruin, a space that only gives meaning to its users, as they arrived with a house on their shoulder.”
“The world reveals itself on the horizon of decomposed objects. When everything has broken down, when we can no longer continue as before, to make an end is to make a beginning. We will design what almost always architects design: a reinforced concrete building.”
“But then, as almost never, we will stop right before pouring the concrete.”
But onto the news. Woohoo, so much happened in 2 weeks.
