Winning a CPU Optimization Challenge and Setting a New Class Record
My Computer Architecture class ask us to build the fastest CPUs for a specific task. Coincidentally, it turns out to be a task I had just worked on, so I decided to lock in.

Supermic+more: PDM Bitstream ASICs for Audio Signal Processing
PDM microphones have remarkable properties for beamforming. By manipulating the bitstream directly at 3072 kHz rather than converting to PCM first, delay-and-sum beamforming becomes simpler and more precise. This project implements these operations as ASICs using the Skywater 130nm CMOS process, with eight designs submitted for fabrication.
clEar: Glasses-Based Beamforming Hearing Aids
clEar is a glasses-based beamforming hearing aid that uses Golomb-spaced microphone arrays, a custom MSMVDR beamforming technique, and a hybrid multi-speaker tracking algorithm to achieve a 71% increase in STOI and 9.9 dB SNR improvement. ISEF Grand Award, CSEF First Place.
How It's Made
Everyone who can, should make a personal website. So here's how I made mine.
