Gameloft is apparently planning to attend Galacon on the 6th and 7th of this month to meet the fans and answer questions about the My Little Pony game we've been covering for years now. They will have exclusive rewards available too for everyone that plays it.

As many of you know conventions have been on hold for most of 2020 and 2021. Luckily the con scene is recovering but a lot of cons are in need of some extra funds. Among them is Galacon, now holding a fundraiser to be able to bring many more editions of the con in the future.

As the pandemic continues, GalaCon has unfortunately had to cancel their in-person event this year with hopes of being able to get everyone together July 30th-31st, 2022! Tickets that have been bought for the 2021 event will be valid for 2022 but if you really do wish to refund your ticket you have till June 30th, 2021 to do so!While the news for conventions has been relatively bleak so far this year, it's encouraging that conventions are still hoping to return in 2022 rather than fold up altogether. While in-person con season seems to be canceled for the forseeable future, several conventions are still putting up online alternatives for you all to enjoy. On August 1 2020, their originally scheduled weekend, Ludwigsburg-based Galacon will host their online version: Galaconline 2020.

While the show has ended the convention train shows no sign of stopping. Still an active part of this train, GalaCon has more pony goodness to bring to Ludwigsburg, Germany next summer. They just announced their theme for the 2020 edition of the con will be "Fantasy" and they have opened ticket sales!

This is The Illustrious Q, and low and behold I cover things other than comic books!
I am multitalented.
The above joke was Ferret’s fault. But what not Ferret’s fault, aside from the fact I used the joke, is that I and several others from Equestria Daily spent a weekend at Galacon in Ludwigsberg Germany!
That is all Gameleon’s fault. We just couldn’t say no to his adorable face.
So, how did this weekend go for myself and others from Equestria Daily? Well, User will have his own thoughts and observations recorded further on in the blog, but as for myself my Galacon adventure--which you can read all about after the break--started on the Wednesday before the convention during a side trip to Amsterdam...

GalaCon is going on in Germany over the weekend, and whilst many of us won't be able to make it, the main hall events are all being livestreamed on the official GalaCon YouTube channel courtesy of PonyvilleFM right now! They'll be covering all the events in the main hall over the weekend, so check out the timetable here, and go enjoy the stream below the break!

In addition to that it seems the convention will see a visit by Twilight's former student: Kelly Sheridan, best known in pony for the voice of Starlight Glimmer, will be attending the con as a guest of honor.

Seems there is a good reason to head out to Ludwigsburg, Germany this summer. A little while ago, GalaCon announced the dates for the 2018 edition of the con. On the 28th and 29th of July, 2018 there will be lot of pony to be had at the Forum Am Schlosspark.
For those wanting to help out at the convention, GalaCon has also opened volunteer applications. Details on that can be found over here.
GalaCon also held a con artist contest. The entries of which can be found below the break.

For six years, the summer has seen hundreds of My Little Pony fans from all over Europe and beyond travelling to Ludwigsburg. This year was no exception as GalaCon held their sixth convention on July 28 and 29 at the Forum Am Schlosspark.
This year I was joined by fellow EQD staff member "User", who flew in all the way from accross the Atlantic, to report on the festivities of the 2017 edition of the convention.
