About me - Andres Parra

Hi, I'm Andres Parra, a software engineer and full-stack developer from Cúcuta, Colombia.

How I got started

I started programming back in 2020 with JavaScript, learning through online courses and YouTube videos. Since then, I haven't stopped learning. Today I mostly work with TypeScript and React, but I'm also comfortable building with Java and Python. My main focus is web development, both backend and frontend.

Building things

I love creating things, and I'm always looking for the next thing to build or launch. Some of my projects include RPCIDE, an online editor for competitive programming with over 400 users, and Scriio, an English-learning app designed specifically for Spanish speakers. Beyond code

I'm passionate about learning in general — open source, the Linux world, and new technologies like AI and Machine Learning always catch my attention. Along the way, I also curate a list of links and resources I find useful.

Outside of programming, I love cycling and listening to music. You can check what I'm currently listening to on Last.fm.

I'm also an avid reader, you can find my book reviews and thoughts on the blog.
