We are all one.

Norm: I feel called upon to point out that the title of this item is only aspirational, at least as far as the oxford comma goes.

Dua: You have done your duty.

kvara: What is “theLarf”?

Tria: I know! I know! It's a seven-letter neologism indicating a subobject of studious prosideration!

Kvara: Fourth character upper-cased, and never title-cased, very good, my three.

Unua: A quick internot search seems to reveal the following.

Unua: Using the simplest of key terms (“humor deception”) returned so few interesting results on the latter that, in the future, 1 was to have felt completely justified in tentatively concluding that...

Norm: Somebody should be taking notes.

Dua: Do as thou wilt and it harm no other. You know the drill.

Tria: I thought that's what you must be doing, because you weren't on Sic Talking.

Norm: We can fix that in post.

Kvara: We're all grateful that there are present here in some sense those who are sensitive to interactions with both of our plenums... our “mediums” if you will.

Wall4All: What began as a modest proposal to antiductively participate in the transition from the Twilightenment to ActualFuture-0.1 soon turned into something far more... a word with four syallables?

Norm: “Satisfying” comes to mind. I guess we're supposed to be colleagues now.

Tria: You're welcome! Feel free to begin competing among yourselves.

Dua: She meant you and Wall4All, Normy.

problem: the particular mode of expression we're chosen to adopt involves particular emphasis of the string colon-terminated string comprising the first non-blank characters at the beginning of each paragraph.

Unua: Hello, problem. Glad you could join us!

Dua: Yes, this socialing is utter HELL, isn't it?

Tria: Why so sad?

question: Does writefreely's flavor of markdown honor formatting html?

Kvara: We shall see, shan't we?

Dua: It does.

Unua: Let's not get excited about it.

Tria: Except me. It's my brand.

Unua: Now I want to include images of the flowchart of the script I'm going to resurrect allowing easy-peasy preprocessing text captured from a system paste buffer to auto format according to Problem's desiderata.

problem: I actually identify as all lower-cased. And it is very distinctly and definitely not my requirements. Granted, I'll obtrude myself at the most awkward moments, but I am just a messenger: a medium, if you will. Please carry on just ignoring me whenever possible.

Dua: It's the least we can do.

Wall4All: And the lucky second will turn out to have been... ti1mcv!

unua: Learning how to interface remotely via the api is paused for now: contacting the write.as server via ssl/tls requires insights about how to configure curl that I'm not willing to spend time accumulating just at the moment.

Dua: You could ask for help.

Unua: Nah, not at this point. Further experimentation hitting https://write.as with variations of the curl configuration at hand might get our IP blocked again. Anyway, I can see several ways forward that I'm just not willing to continue pursuing just at the moment.

Dua: Name them.

Unua: Setting up the local instance with a self-signed certificate, for starters. Exborimenting with other https sites. Using the available app.

Dua: Discovering and wading through arcane, antiquated docs describing processes that we're presently barely aware exist.

Tria: Also known as “the FUN! of it”

Unua: Please. We have been barely aware of a fact that these last few developments have drawn into the foreground: this coding stuff is nice and useful, but we have more important things to do than learning how to productively make and use (and debug, and elaborate) personally tailored infrastructure.

Dua: This! Thank you!

Wall4All: We have been gifted with a base36 representation of one precious, unique second of those since the epoch began: ti141e

Kvara: Since before the beginning, we have known.

We still do not “get” the ui... but now we would like to see “Drafts” at the top the screen, just as the local server presents.

[edit] kvara: And so, it was...

Unua: It was as we suspected: the “Drafts” page is more than one click away from the “Posts” page... or the “Blogs” page, whichever it is.

Kvara: Apparently, understanding the technical aspects of federation is like learning to drive a stick shift.

Unua: Accelerator : clutch :: “Blogs” : “Posts.”

Dua: Probably it's got something to do with being able to “publish” anonymously.

Tria: Why, though?

Unua: It will become more clear eventually.

unua: Containing multitudes is not all it's cracked up to be. The signup/payment process for write.as was... unusual. Specifically, we backed out of the payment page, after having put a username and password in the browser, and the second time clicking “Pay” on that page showed 'username already taken.'

Kvara: So we chose a shorter one.

tria: that's a happy thing!

unua: Hooking it up to our mastodon.social account and... it works.

dua: So, this is the part where pushing and pulling all the levers and switches to (begin to) see what they do displaces actually writhing.

tria: writing.

dua: I said what I said.

tria: That could be very confusing to people who are breathing it.

Unua: Not if they stop and think about it.

Kvara: But... why?

Dua: We can chalk it up to an excess of enthusiasm playing with a new toy.

tria: Do I have to do it in that order? Can I think about it, and then stop thinking about it? I'm really good at that.

Unua: Are you not intertainted?

dua: it is a gift, and everyone has their own special gifts.

Unua: Everyone, thanks for playing.
