Trude's Website

Hello, I’m

Trude

The programmers of tomorrow are the wizards of the future.

About me

When I started my journey, technology felt like magic. Every website, program and device we use is built on layers of abstraction, and it can be hard to grasp how everything fits together. I couldn't find a resource to help me truly understand technology; To learn how a computer works, why it works, how to build one, how programs, operating systems, and websites function, and recently, even AI.

With this website, I wish to share the knowledge I have gained so far, and unwrap each of these abstractions, to finally create the resource I wish I had when I started. Truth is, technology isn't magic. It's built on simple rules, and if we learn them, we can do things no human can do on their own; We, too, can be the wizards of the future.

My journey

2015 - 2018

Beginning of my Journey

I was gifted an Arduino UNO, and started learning. I began to program the arduino, learn C, Linux, and the foundations of what I know today.

2019 β€” 2023

Built a Linux Desktop

Started XPrism, learned more about Linux, and turned it into a lightweight desktop environment and final project for my professional course.

2020 β€” 2023

Studied Computer Science

Worked in computer repair and maintenance while learning C, SQL, web development, electronics, Arduino, and machine learning, then completed CS50x.

2023 β€” 2025

Repaired Systems and Built my Toolset

Diagnosed computers and mobile devices, supported users, maintained Linux systems, worked with industrial equipment, and built networking, safety, and computer-vision solutions across different internships.

2025 β€” 2026

Connected infrastructure, teams, and automation

Built internal tools, organized technical work, maintained web and collaboration services, and supported hiring and customer-facing projects at a new startup.

2026 β€” present

Focused on infrastructure and AI automation

Manage Linux services, networking, backups, monitoring, CI/CD, and security work while integrating LLMs and agents into automations across the company.

Favorite Projects

Homelab server

2019 β€” present

A spare computer that grew into a Linux and Docker platform for storage, private Git, Matrix, home automation, computer vision, local LLMs, game servers, books, notes, and automation.

Seth

2026 β€” present

An AI agent with persistent memory, context compression, model fallbacks, skills, MCP tools, browser automation, SSH management, a web dashboard, and Discord/Matrix integrations.

XPrism

2018 β€” 2023

A lightweight tiling desktop environment for Linux, built as a final school project. It provides a complete desktop session in under 100 MB of memory for low-power and embedded computers.

This website

2023 β€” present

My small corner of the web: a hand-built website for publishing notes, projects, experiments, and journal entries. All free of charge and without ADs.
