About this blog
This is a small, anonymous collection of scripture-centered studies offered for thoughtful Latter-day Saint readers. The essays use a clear hierarchical approach to scripture based on the source of the voice:
- Class 1 (highest): Divine voice — God’s own words (“saith the Lord”) — inviolable.
- Class 2: Inspired voice — revelations and visions recorded in the messenger’s own words.
- Class 3 (lowest): Human voice — commentary, policies, and teachings — valuable but revisable when they conflict with higher classes.
This framework is applied here to re-examine the phrase “Jesus, our elder brother” and the doctrine of adoption. Future posts may explore other gospel topics using the same scripture-first method. All pieces are written in a spirit of good faith and are intended only for quiet reflection and personal discussion.
