Terms of Service
The rules that govern how you use Timbu.com — please read them before you book.
Overview
These terms govern all services offered by Timbu.com (“we”, “us”, “our”), whether direct or indirect. They apply to individuals or corporations who subscribe to newsletters, create accounts, or make bookings through the website.
“Final Party” and “Accommodation Provider” refer to hotels, motels, inns, apartments, and properties advertised on Timbu.com, regardless of any existing agreements between you and those providers.
Terms may be revised from time to time, so please review them regularly. They apply to every platform — online, mobile, email, telephone, post, or direct contact. By using any of our services, including browsing, rating hotels, or making reservations, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Legal use
You warrant that you will not make unlawful use of the website or any of the materials provided through it.
Our service scope
Timbu.com provides temporary accommodation bookings including event halls, motels, hotels, apartments and similar properties. By placing a reservation, you enter into a legally binding agreement with the direct service provider, not with Timbu.com.
The platform acts as a mediator: we pass your information to providers and relay confirmations via SMS and email. Service providers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings; Timbu.com does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information they supply.
Hotel recommendations are user-generated; Timbu.com does not verify them and therefore cannot give assurance about them. Your choices are independent decisions, and any disappointments cannot create liability for the platform.
Pricing & currency
Three payment options are typically available:
- Pay on Arrival. Timbu.com cannot guarantee that reservations will be held or that cancellations will be communicated before arrival. We accept no responsibility for disappointments arising from this method.
- Bank Transfer. Options include international transfers, local online transfers, or direct deposits at bank branches.
- Card Payments. Card payments are processed through a third-party provider; Timbu.com does not store or process card details directly. Default charges are billed in US Dollars unless you select another currency in the booking widget. Tax rates and foreign exchange rates may change between the time of booking and the date of stay.
Third parties
Backlinks to external websites are provided for reference only and do not constitute an endorsement. Timbu.com does not manage these sites and is not responsible for their use.
Cancellation & no-show policy
You accept both the accommodation provider’s cancellation and no-show terms and Timbu.com’s. We provide full refunds for unpaid amounts; amounts already transferred to providers are subject to the provider’s cancellation charges and operational costs.
Direct payments to providers remain your responsibility; Timbu.com will not reimburse such payments or any payments made before arrival. Refunds from providers only occur with their consent and are not obligatory for Timbu.com.
Providers can only charge cancellation fees against amounts they have actually received.
Refund policy
Refunds for hotels already paid are subject to the provider’s cancellation or no-show charge. Unpaid amounts receive a 100% refund upon cancellation.
Return & delivery
Does not apply.
Further correspondence
After booking, confirmation messages and updates are sent via email and SMS. You will typically confirm bookings by phone and arrange payment. Some providers require prepayment to guarantee availability. We maintain contact from reservation through one week after checkout to ensure your satisfaction, and welcome your feedback.
Customer ratings & reviews
Ratings are given by the public. Timbu.com has no control over ratings and cannot guarantee their accuracy; reviews depend on individual preferences.
Disclaimer
Timbu.com bears no responsibility for liabilities arising from booking services involving providers, customers, or government agencies. Providers offering pay-on-arrival options are liable for any payment losses and must implement their own collection measures.
