Overview
This tutorial is a short introduction to research methods you can use to figure out whether AI-based programming tools are helping your team or not. Even if you don’t do such studies yourself, we hope that understanding how they work will help you decide which claims about them to trust. All of the material is available under an open license, and contributions through our repository are welcome. All participants are required to respect our Code of Conduct.
Greg Wilson is a programmer, author, and educator based in Toronto. He was the co-founder and first Executive Director of Software Carpentry and received ACM SIGSOFT’s Influential Educator Award in 2020.
