If you only use a Mac, buy the Mac version directly from us. If you want Snippety on your Mac, iPhone and iPad, buy the App Store version — one purchase covers every device on your Apple ID. If you only need it on your phone or tablet, pick the iPhone & iPad option.
In general, the standalone version is the better choice because it isn't subject to App Store limitations. However, the mobile app must be purchased separately. The App Store version may be more cost-effective if you use the same Apple ID on more than two Macs.
The App Store version covers all your Apple devices with one purchase and includes the iOS app. The Standalone macOS version supports Homebrew, works across multiple Apple IDs, has no sandbox limitations, ships updates faster, and can be activated on two selected Macs.
