You feel differently towards the world when you make things.

The couple times I met Milton before he passed away in 2022, the impact of seeing him busy at work well into his 80s in his NYC studio was energizing. Making things to try to understand the world or potentially put a dent in it rings true for me. So much so that I have the phrase “Art is Work” emblazoned on my laptop similarly to the building entry of his studio.
