100% true, and sometimes — at least if you’re me — you find out that being discovered often isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and that maybe you never really wanted that in the first place and instead (some days) would rather just disappear. Applies equally I suspect to lots of professions besides writers — certainly designers or anyone creative.
