While we could pick this quote apart in different ways, I’d like to think what Rand is really talking about is mindful coordination — the use of our hands, arms, eyes, and mind together. Deliberate acts that are uniquely human. As AI becomes even more entrenched in our daily lives in ways we can and can’t see, I suspect we’ll find the clear-cut work of human hands uniquely special and profound in ways we currently do not appreciate.
