I’m a little obsessed with the idea that the Blood Ocean causes different mutations depending on who its infecting.

I really wish there was a bloodymary fic where Simon starts out with his scary mutations but since they’re cut off from whatever the horrors/supernatural powers of the light/eel/blood ocean is the mutations start to get septic and die and then the Eridians/Grace/Armando have to surgically remove them and Simon has a little breakdown after getting his face back even if it’s scarred and not quite the same but he finally starts to feel human again. It’s good closure after the horrors and I’ve been thinking about this headcanon a lot.

I feel like this would happen post arrival on Erid cause Grace would be too anxious to do anything about it on Mary by himself but by the time they land Simon’s getting sepsis from the nasty rotting eel-bits fused to him and he and Grace are both a little starving… Mm yess that would be delightful angst. Anyway free realestate if anyone wants to write about this.

I like to imagine Grace also likes Simon’s hair, especially after it’s freshly washed and dried ;D
