If you're wondering about the name, it's a combination of two Japanese characters: "乱" (ran/midare), meaning chaos or disorder, and "星" (sei/hoshi), meaning star. Together, they represent my little corner of the web: a starry void where chaos meets pixels.

001. What's the story behind your nickname?

Nothing particular, just something reflecting my hobbies, character with cool pronunciation

002. Why did you decide to start this website?

I wanted a space where I-myself can decide how to design, what to write, and be myself without any big brothers looking over my shoulders

003. What inspired your space-themed aesthetic?

My father loved stars, back in 1997 we had a cool dobsonian telescope home, and I always wanted to play with it, but didn't know how in that time. So I guess I inherited this love for the Cosmos from my him.

004. What are your favorite hobbies?

Bitching about the World and withdrawing from society.

005. What first got you interested in Linux?

The trigger was probably my last job. That's where I firstly started to touch the CentOS and servers, learning how to use the commands, and started to learn python programming language.

006. What's your favorite Linux distribution?

Fedora - that's why I use it :3 It is rock solid, with security by design and great support && documentation.

007. Why do you enjoy programming?

I like to express myself by creating things, but as I don't have an eye for art, the only way is through the code.

008. What project are you most proud of?

Not particularly programming much, but that would be probably this website!

009. How did you become interested in astronomy?

As I said, it was because of my father's DNA, but the real interest started during high school when I bought my first telescope. After that I also wanted to start with a sort of astrophotography, but equipment in that days was way too expensive for a student, so my hobby had to wait for a few years. After I became an adult and bought my house with nice garden and dark night sky, it awakened again, and I decided to buy my first Smart Telescope and one normal telescope as well!

010. What do you enjoy most about astrophotography?

Trying the limits of the equipment. There is no better feeling when I capture too dim or too far away objects that should be impossible with that equipment. Also I enjoy discovering things, that's why astrophotography and astronomy in general is something I love.

011. What's your favorite anime?

That will be probably Monogatari Series. I was watching it from the very beginning back in 2008 and got a lot of real-world sweet memories in connection to that anime.

012. What's your favorite game of all time?

100% Old School Runescape! So many nostalgic memories. *Numb playing in background while fighting in castle wars*

013. What kind of music do you listen to?

Everything?! It probably depends on my current mood, but I have a list of the most favorite bands above. Manly pop-rock, nu-metal and some Japanese stuffs :)

014. What's your dream travel destination?

South Pole! I want to visit the Antarctica one day when I got rich :D

015. If you could instantly master one skill, what would it be?

Learn how to live without regrets, I guess?

016. What's your favorite command-line tool?

ripgrep - using it daily :D And find, because I forget a lot!

017. What's something you're currently learning?

Learning to not cause troubles XD But seriously, learning to be a good parent.

018. What's one fun fact about yourself?

I can't play games with a lot of tension, like something jump off and scares you, or some secret hiding missions and stuffs. I love to play to take a break, not to be stressed out, lol.

019. What advice would you give your younger self?

The one that everybody gives: Shut up and buy bitcoins!

020. What are your goals for the future?

I want to become a Pokémon master! But more realistically I just want to enjoy the moments while I'm here and got somehow evolved in astronomy as my job (impossible one, probably the Pokémon master is much more realistic).
