I was suprised to find that there was no official list in print of the entries to the Appendix N Jam over on itch.io, which produced some amazing quality two-page dungeons (each intended to cover both sides of an ordinary sheet of paper). Each participant in the jam was given a the title of a fake pulp adventure and had to design an adventure around it, and these constraints produced some amazing results.

I listened to and watched the awards stream, and here is the list of winners, with links to each. The judges said they made a long list of about 25 of the 226 submissions, and then “argued a lot.” Spoiler alert: I’m on the list!

I have made a collection of these winners over on itch.io, you can click through the links here or bookmark the collection page. The collection is nice because it shows all the covers.

Congratulations to all the winners, and many thanks to the judges for all their hard work reading all the entries!

Judge’s Picks

First are what I’m calling the Judge’s Picks, five modules that they called out for special attention. These are:

Honorable Mensions

Each judge also highlighted a few more titles that they thought deserved special notice:

Audience Pick

The Knight Errant, by IsaacIsAfraid, written for Mark of the Odd systems (e.g., Cairn)

Second Place

The Eternal Empress, by Amanda P., written for Cairn

First Place

The Eldritch Staff, by Undelved, system neutral
