Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site, including which pages they visit and which outbound affiliate links they click. Google Analytics may process information such as your approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and interactions with the site. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics.

Analytics storage is denied unless you select “Accept analytics” in the cookie notice. If you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and measure site usage. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so that we can remember it. You can change it at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

We use consent as the legal basis for analytics cookies. Google may process analytics data on servers outside the UK. Its handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and its data safeguards.

Google Analytics retention settings control how long user-level analytics data is kept. Aggregated reports may remain available after the underlying user-level data has been deleted.

Cloudflare hosting and security

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request information to deliver pages, prevent abuse, detect bots, and protect the site from attacks. This processing is necessary to operate and secure the site. Cloudflare may process this information outside the UK under the safeguards described in its privacy policy.

Ordered Books participates in the Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links contain an identifier that lets Amazon know a visitor came from this site. If you follow one of these links, Amazon may use cookies and process information under its own privacy notice. We do not receive your name, address, payment details, or a list of what you bought.

The site also links to authors, publishers, and other third-party websites. Their privacy policies apply after you leave Ordered Books.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use that information to reply and deal with your request. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is reasonably needed for that purpose or to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

UK data protection law may give you the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent. These rights depend on the circumstances. Contact privacy@orderedbooks.com to make a request.
