Now
- Still in Vegas, where after an unusually mild winter, it's been a semi-normal spring?
- I went to France and Portugal earlier this year, I'm leaving on a trip to southeast Asia this week, and I have another 1-2 international trips planned for later in the year. That will be 3-4 international trips this year when I originally thought on maybe 2? I do have the scheduling flexibility to support these trips (and certainly appreciate being able to travel more!), but I'll also say that these international trips have overall been less expensive than I originally thought they might be. I'll probably write up more thoughts on this, maybe when I'm back from my next trip!
- Still rocking the car-free/car-lite lifestyle. It hasn't been without its challenges, but I'm fortunate to be pretty flexible when it comes to where I go and when I need to be there, generally speaking. Also definitely enjoy the money I've been saving, most of which I've been able to redirect right to my travel budget. By the way, if you also take public transit in Vegas, RTC has proposed fare and service changes with feedback due June 23.
- Glad the WNBA CBA got resolved with that gross revenue-based percentage for the players! Looking forward to seeing if the Aces will be able to defend their third championship in four years, but even if they don't, will still appreciate being able to watch my favorite players play.
- Remain unsure on whether I'm actually early retired or just taking a gap (several) year(s) but I'm grateful that it seems to be working out so far. Turns out that I can stick to a budget if it means I don't have to work! ๐
