A witch who runs an apothecary in Syrup's town. She uses her magic to grow medicinal plants (and sometimes regular plants, to make tea).

the main character of Astra's Garden! she first appeared in Starry Flowers, and you can meet her later on in Syrup 2: Candy Alchemy RPG.

astra was first designed on 12/21/2020 to be Periwinkle's employer in Starry Flowers. after finishing it, i liked peri and astra's relationship so much that i wanted to make the prequel where they first met, so she became a main character!

personality

terse and guarded, but cares a lot about the health of others.

doesn’t like to admit when someone is her friend, making excuses like it’s just a practical decision she’s made, but she’ll do a lot for you if she likes you.

very no-nonsense in her approach to things, but has a good sense of humor too. has a soft spot for periwinkle because he reminds her of cassava.

Mom and Dad: both are witches. astra calls her mom on the phone pretty often. her dad works a lot.
Cassava (brother): astra's garden spoilers

passed away from undeath 7 years prior to the start of AG. he had a huge effect on her life, and died while she was away studying medicine. she remains heartbroken over the whole thing and isn't able to openly talk about it to any of her friends.
Uncle Mung and Auntie Amaranth: astra has a big family. these are some of the names you hear from her mom in AG!

FRIENDLY

Periwinkle: a close friend, but she's only willing to call him a business associate. she buys aromagic (magic perfume basically) from him, and pays a lot for it.
Pastille: introduced through periwinkle. she finds him useful, and peri has to fight to keep her from making him do a bunch of random chores for her for free.
Butterscotch: buys potions from her to use on her plants. mostly friends out of circumstance.
Toffee: tags along when butterscotch goes to sell her potions. or sometimes delivers it themself! astra finds toffee to be a little annoying but she doesn't say anything about it.
Syrup: sells tonics to her in Syrup 2. astra gets along well with syrup since their personalities are so similar, and she finds her candy delicious!
Vinegar: they haven't met again since the plot of astra's garden, but she feels a lot of sympathy toward vinegar and wants her to live as healthy of a life as she can

you can find her standing in line waiting to get into atelier sweets during chapter 3. she took the place of a guest character who was put there in the original release, since at the time of writing ch3 astra did not exist yet.
