1. The Service
Nmap Online provides online network scanning and port discovery services using nmap. By using this service, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have proper authorization to scan the specified targets. Unauthorized scanning of networks or systems is illegal and strictly prohibited.
2. Legal Authorization Required
You must have explicit authorization to scan any target. Unauthorized port scanning may be illegal in your jurisdiction.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to scan targets
- We block private IP ranges (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 127.x.x.x) to prevent accidental misuse
- All scan attempts are logged with user information and targets
- We cooperate with law enforcement regarding unauthorized scanning activity
- Recommended targets for testing: scanme.nmap.org (officially authorized for testing)
3. Account & Usage Limits
- Anonymous Users: 3 scans total (tracked in browser)
- Free Accounts: 3 scans per day (resets midnight UTC)
- PRO Accounts: Unlimited scans with 7-day free trial, then $4.99/month
- Scan Timeouts: 2 minutes for free users, 5 minutes for PRO users
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure
- One account per person
4. Your Scan Data & Privacy
- Scan Results Storage: All scan results are encrypted and stored in our database
- Free Users: Scan results are public and accessible via shareable URLs
- PRO Users: Scan results are private and require authentication to view
- Data Retention: Scan history is retained while your account is active
5. What You Can't Do
- Scan targets without proper authorization
- Attempt to bypass private IP blocking or other security measures
- Use the service for malicious purposes or illegal activities
- Try to hack, disrupt, or break the service
- Use bots or automation to scrape data or abuse the service
- Abuse the credit system or attempt to bypass payment
- Violate any laws or regulations
6. No Warranty - Use At Your Own Risk
Important: Scan results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or contain errors.
- Service provided "AS IS" with no guarantees
- We don't guarantee accuracy, reliability, completeness, or uptime
- Scan results should be verified and not solely relied upon for security decisions
- We're not responsible for any damages resulting from scan results or service use
- Scans may trigger security alerts or IDS systems at target locations
- We're not liable for any legal consequences of unauthorized scanning
7. Payments & Subscriptions (PRO)
- Payments processed securely through Stripe
- 7-day free trial, then $4.99/month automatically
- PRO features: Unlimited scans, private scan results, extended scan timeouts
- Cancel anytime in settings (no refunds for partial months)
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
- No refunds after the trial period ends
8. Account Termination
- You can delete your account anytime in settings
- We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- We can terminate accounts involved in unauthorized scanning
- Deleting your account permanently removes all your data and scan history
9. Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention
- Rate limit: 10 scans per minute per user
- We monitor for suspicious patterns and may throttle or block users
- Repeated violations may result in permanent account termination
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use means you accept the changes. Major changes will be communicated via email.
