what I'm currently focusing on
This is my now page. Here I will do my best to share (and keep updating) what I'm currently focusing my time and energy on — what I'm up to.

work
Since starting in my new role in June I've been finding a lot of meaning and even excitement around within my new job. It's been a perfect blend of opportunities to both apply (prove) and grow (challenge) my expertise — with the great added bonus of working with great people. So yeah, so far I've been quite happy to spend ⅓ of my time with this one.
adjusting routines and priorities
Having recently started a new job and moved to a new place brings a lot of changes to my daily routines as well. So far, it seems that the list of all the things I want to do outweigh the time I have available as well, which has forced me to really evaluate and prioritize. One of the maing things right that I would like to focus on more but haven't really found the time for is writing.
hockey
In addition to being on the ice myself couple times a week. Over the past few years, I've also been gradually increasing my focus towards the player management, consulting and overall "business" side of hockey, so with the exhibition seasons now started, it also brings a lot more of interactions and games to watch.
enjoying nature (befriending squirrels)
There is this perfect little island quite near my home where you can go to and feel like you've teleported to some perfect remote woodland/lake getaway and just take in the sights and sounds of Finnish nature at its best. Especially when you go there in the early mornings when there aren't really people around. Plus, they have super friendly squirrels (also ducks and birds) that you can enjoy by simply watching. But if you bring some nuts with you, you also get to experience some extremely friendly squirrels very close. This has easily been my favorite thing after moving to my new apartment. Just incredibly relaxing for the mind.
reading
I'm still reading regularly, albeit a lot less right now than before starting my new job. If you want to know more about what I've been reading, I created a separate reads page.
