I'm David Reed. My interests include teaching and technical evangelism, open source, science fiction, classical languages (I hold a master's degree in Ancient Greek), and gardening.

I like writing Python and Rust, and my technical passions are in platform engineering and automation. I work on developer productivity at Slack, focusing on the Quip and Canvas products. I was previously at Salesforce, where I helped build the Cumulus Suite toolchain.

I officiate a lot of roller derby. I am a WFTDA Certified Level 3 non-skating official. You can find my roller derby game history here.
