I suppose this goes to my series of proposed laws overall?
You can see I lean Socialist left, which is center, center for the rest of the world as the US drifts more and more right.
Anyway… being anti corporation these are my proposals for laws to help the job market:
• Every ghost job listing caught the company needs to pay 1% of their profit to the government for job creation.
Or something proportional like that. If you want to screw thousands of people’s time and money, then you should pay that money back. Every single listing, you pay 1%. Yes. And this includes all off shore accounts. If you want to be a 1%er, pay that 1% every time. Oh noes 10,000 jobs… welp, that wracked up quickly.
• Only human interviewers can be used.
Outlaw AI interviewers. Actually hire HR people. I know. Woah, a bunch of job creation magically appeared.
- Companies are required through a percentage of their staff to have entry level jobs for their main field with minimum pay commiserate with minimum pay for that job.
Maybe proportional to their company size. Say you have 100 employees (home and abroad), then you need at least one entry level job WITH potential at promotion. BTW, not rotating. “Oops, we fired that employee after six months” means you failed. So to get around that, oops, you need to train 3 employees as insurance.
- Require all recruitment websites to be liable for all fake job postings.
Linked In, Indeed, etc. If there are more than 10 reports of a ghost job from the company, they are required to flag that company to the government. If they fail to comply, they get fined.
- Require all “But we want you to pitch us stuff” to PAY for all pitches to the company and write copyright and trademark law to cover those people’s butts.
Minimum of 20K per use, which is the cost of ghost writing and adjusted to minimum pay of ghost writing.
- Be relentless in hunting job scammers.
Hey, job creation idea for retired police officers and ICE agents after we abolish ICE. Get their deporting gun-loving asses on job scammers. They want to hunt foreign entities doing harm. Why not this one? No one is going to be sad at seeing job scammers crying in jail except for fellow job scammers.
- Ban the use of AI in any of the recruitment process with a fine and EOE fines.
Look, we already know recruiters are biased, but AI is more so. So hit them with discrimination and make it easier for applicants to sue their asses for that discrimination.
Lawyers up in their asses is likely to kill them trying to use AI to hire people. Class action lawsuits and disclosures of hiring practices is likely to get them sued? They’ll stop.
