The world’s on fire, I’m unemployed and can’t get a job for the past 1.5 years, every opportunity I get is either a flat out rejection or I’m getting ghosted, I can’t get a therapy spot and I’m neck-deep in a depressive episode but hey, at least I can replay Assassin’s Creed 2 and pretend that I’m running across the rooftops in Renaissance Italy to stab evil people
The Olympics are making me re-watch Yuri!!! On Ice for the first time in like 10 years and my heart is soaring despite the horrendous depressive episode I’m in atm
I think… This is the happiest I’ve been in years and I may have underestimated how badly I needed to get away from my daily surroundings and go to the ocean halfway across the world
Why is writing such a cursed hobby where you can’t not write but you also need people to acknowledge your work
Writing a moderately popular fanfic spoils you so much as a writer because what do you MEAN every subsequent thing I’ve put out IN THE SAME FUCKING FANDOM gets ignored 😭😭 I just want people to read my stupid lil writing and tell me I’m doing a good job
In other news my Huskerdust Noir AU isn’t doing well and I’m heartbroken about it because I really love the premise and I don’t think my writing’s THAT bad all of a sudden and I’ve published up to chapter 4 with barely any interactions while I’m working on chapter 12 of 17 and seriously wondering whether I should even bother publishing the rest
