Who is Josh Sherman?
I am many things to many people (and animals). I'm a one-term husband, riding out the reign as long as she'll let me. I'm also the proud father of an adult-aged daughter. Two pugs and quite a few Sea-Monkeys consider me capable at feeding them.
By trade, I'm a software engineer. Starting in technical support, I've climbed my way up and down the ladder, occasionally jumping off completely.
Decades later, I'm still not sure what I want to do when I grow up.
Hobbies?
I used to say that when I wasn't coding, I was probably coding. While this is still true, the COVID-19 pandemic was a time when I started to revisit some of my old hobbies, while exploring some new ones.
My current hobbies, in no particular order, include: playing video games, making music, collecting trading cards and comics, and even less frequently these days, bass fishing (notice I didn't say catching).
There's also "consumption" that I'm not sure I'd consider hobbies, but includes: reading / listening to audiobooks, watching TV and movies (usually about vampires), and some sporty sports like watching Angels baseball and keeping up (mostly from afar) with pro wrestling (it's not fake, you're fake).
Where in the World is Josh?
Originally from Tampa, Florida, I got sick of trying to clean sand out of my flip flops and moved to the formerly weird city of Austin, Texas.
With our daughter attending college outside of Texas, we're on the prowl for the next city to move to and subsequently ruin.
The Socials
While I love that we're globally connected, the whole idea of social media doesn't appeal to me. The dwindling accounts I do maintain are mostly one-way and unmaintained at best.
Digital nomad tendencies aside, you can always get in touch.
