so this Processing library gifAnimation is pretty sweet. source
someone pointed out that gifAnimation doesn’t work in processing 3.0. There’s a fork for processing 3.0 here but I haven’t tried it out: https://github.com/extrapixel/gif-animation/tree/3.0
