Kinda dropping a bottle to the sea here…but if any of you could vote for my submission in the open call by OBJKT to be featured on season 1 of the Kento Cards (physical collectible art cards in booster packs) it would be much much appreciated!

I need one vote right now to be in the top 10 and hopefully go to round 2 of the voting!!

NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE BEGGED LIKE THIS but I desperately want to be noticed to have a chance for season 2 if not this one…

Working hard right now on a serious series of 12 animated visuals involving heavy coding, hand made pixel art and even 3D for a future hypothetical exhibition! (All in 1bit art!)

You need an X/twitter account to submit a vote.

If any of you do it please let me know so I can personally thank you!! (Votes end on 31)

🙏

Time slips away in our spiritually impoverished societies, our minds sedated, drifting on autopilot…

We no longer seek meaning, nor feel the need to connect with something greater than ourselves.

Digital installation during MATxZEKKY exhibition named “DEKA” in Laon, France.

I did enjoy doing this collab a lot, I worked on the glitches effects and coded the ambient sound via Sonic Pi.

IN PACE - 2023 - 150 × 83 cm - Dibond with selective varnish - darokin

I spent a lot of time on the pixelization, color grading, RGB channels, scan lines, and hand-crafted glitches. I really enjoyed the process.

This eye is meant to relieve stress and anxiety. A peaceful gaze, calm yet not numb, fearless, quiet but with a deep purpose.

Can you guess whose eye it is? 👁️

This year again I did participate in the December “Mosaïque en Lumière” held by Champagne JACQUART.

The theme of this year was “performing art” so I choose to emphasize the contrast of the voluptuous mouvement of a dancer in opposition to my rigid numeric / ASCII work.

Here is the result of my part un that projection:

My name appears on the last @urbanartsmagazine thanks to my collab on a numeric piece for the “DEKA” exhibition in Laon - France, that celebrate the 10 years of the artistic duo MATxZEKKY. 🥳

lower-case letters, themselves made out of text characters, spell out the words ansi art. art runs beneath ansi, and the descender from the i at the end of ansi becomes the t at the end of art. To the left of art is a tiny stylised heart.ALT

Mistigram: from last year’s MIST-30 artpack collection, celebrating 30 years since the establishment of our (now vintage) computer art community, here’s a lovely #ASCIIart logo by our guest @darokin ironically celebrating #ANSIart. (Hey, we like to mix it up, too!)

A medical robot appears to have a large CRT for a head. Cocked back to return the viewer's gaze, it displays the letters FLCL.ALT

Mistigram: This newschool #ASCIIart portrait of #Canti from the #anime #FLCL was drawn by @darokin and included in last year’s MIST-30 artpack collection.

I used Blender to make the background wireframe terrain. The rest was done in Inkscape.
